This detailed itinerary offers a rich blend of historical exploration, cultural experiences, and breathtaking views, ensuring an unforgettable journey through some of India’s most iconic destinations.
The standard Golden Triangle tour covers Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. This tour skips Delhi and instead spends more time on the Agra to Jaipur route — specifically stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, and the Abhaneri Stepwell. If you are already based in Agra or have already seen Delhi, this is a far richer way to reach Jaipur. You cover four UNESCO World Heritage Sites and see parts of Rajasthan that most tourists on the Golden Triangle route never visit. If you do want to include Delhi, our 4 Days Golden Triangle Tour is the right choice instead.
The tour starts in Agra — either at Agra Railway Station, Agra Airport, or your hotel — and ends in Jaipur at Jaipur Railway Station or Jaipur Airport. If you need a pickup from Delhi to start the tour in Agra, we can arrange that as an add-on. Just mention it when you enquire and we will build the full itinerary accordingly.
Chand Baori at Abhaneri is one of the most remarkable structures in India and one of the most photographed places in Rajasthan — yet it appears on very few standard tour itineraries. The stepwell has 3,500 steps arranged in perfect geometric symmetry across 13 storeys. You would typically spend 45 minutes to 1 hour here. Almost every guest we have taken there has said it was an unexpected highlight of the entire trip. It is roughly 95 kilometres from Agra and sits directly on the route to Jaipur, so it adds almost no extra driving time.
October to March is the ideal window. The weather across both Agra and Jaipur is cool and clear, the Taj Mahal looks its most beautiful in the soft winter morning light, and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is at peak season between November and February when migratory birds arrive from Siberia and Central Asia. We run this tour year-round but always recommend the winter months for the best overall experience.
Accommodation is not included in the base price so you have complete flexibility to choose hotels that suit your budget. We have worked with hotels across every price range in both Agra and Jaipur for many years and are happy to recommend specific properties — from budget guesthouses to heritage havelis — when you enquire. Just let us know your preference and approximate per-night budget.
Yes — every tour we run is private and fully customisable. Common additions to this tour include an extra night in Agra for a Taj Mahal sunrise visit, an extra day in Jaipur for Pushkar or Ranthambore, or extending into a full Rajasthan circuit. Tell us what you have in mind and we will build the itinerary around it.
